Your calculations happen in your browser
You do not need an account to use our calculators. Entering figures does not submit them to us for calculation. If you share a result, the link can contain the figures you entered.
This policy covers ukmoneycalc at ukmoneycalc.co.uk and explains how information is handled when you browse the site or use a calculator.
Calculator inputs and shared links
Figures such as your salary, savings, mortgage balance or pension contributions are processed by calculator code running on your device. We do not require your name, email address or bank details to calculate a result, and the calculators do not send your inputs to a calculation service.
When you choose “Share result”, your calculator settings are included in the link. Your browser may pass that link to an app you select or copy it to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can see the included figures and recreate the calculation.
Opening a shared link sends its address, including the calculator settings in it, to the hosting service. The address may also appear in browser history, technical logs and the service you use to share it. Only share figures you are comfortable making available to the recipient.
Site search also runs in your browser; the search feature does not submit your search terms to a search service.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your light or dark theme. This preference is stored under ukmoneycalc-theme on your device and is read when you visit again. It is not an advertising identifier.
You can remove this preference by clearing this website’s site data in your browser settings. This resets the saved theme. The calculator code does not use cookies to save your financial inputs.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how often pages are visited and how well the site performs. It provides usage and performance statistics that help us improve the website.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to measure visits, and does not fingerprint visitors or track them across websites. The theme preference described above is separate from analytics.
Analytics measurements are sent to Cloudflare by a script in your browser. We do not configure analytics events to collect the figures you type into our calculators. We do not use advertising trackers or other analytics providers.

Hosting and technical information
The site uses Cloudflare for hosting and delivery. When you request a page, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, browser information and the time of the request to deliver and protect the site.
This information may be used to diagnose faults and detect abusive traffic. The purpose is to keep the website available, reliable and secure, which is our legitimate interest in processing this technical information.
Cloudflare operates internationally, so technical information may be processed outside the UK. Its privacy policy and data processing addendum explain its handling of personal data and safeguards for international transfers.
How long information is kept
The calculators do not create a server-side record of the figures you type. Your saved theme stays in your browser until you clear site data or your browser removes it.
Shared links can remain in browser history, messages, clipboard history or recipients’ records until those copies are removed. We cannot delete copies held by the people or services you share them with.
Technical information is subject to the hosting provider’s retention rules and the services in use. Cloudflare’s privacy policy describes the criteria it uses to retain information, including service delivery, security and legal requirements.
